who are you?
Lampfire is a technology focused marketing firm that brings the diverse disciplines of computer programming, branding and advertising, operations strategy, and graphic design under the umbrella of Operational Marketing. Unlike traditional systems integrators and advertising firms, we strive to develop a more holistic understanding of our clients. This allows us to use the appropriate blend of technology and marketing to transform our clients' leadership visions into successful operations and brand identities.

how did you get your name?
Before expanding its service offerings, Lampfire began as a web-development firm specializing in what were then cutting edge open source technologies. The first half of our name is derived from the acronym LAMP, which stands for Linux Apache MySQL PHP, describing what continues to be our preferred platform for doing web-based programming. Today these technologies are ubiquitous, having been adopted by organizations as diverse as Cox Communications, NASA, and Yahoo!
what services do you offer?
Lampfire offers web-based marketing solutions (e.g. web sites, targeted email campaigns), custom web application programming, graphic design for print and web, and brand and operations consulting. These services blend together seamlessly under the umbrella of Opertational Marketing.
do you use off-shore outsourcing?
No. All of our programmers, designers, consultants, and IT techs reside in northern California. While off-shore outsourcing offers businesses with affordable, and frequently well educated, computer professionals, cultural and linguistic barriers, as well as a decreased willingness to voice concerns during the development of a project, can significantly increase project overhead and lead to unforseen costs.
can you do pro-bono work for my non-profit?
Lampfire is always interested in doing work with non-profits at a reduced rate. Our ability to do your project is based upon several factors including our current workload, your needs, and your organization's mission. Charities and politically progressive organizations are highly encouraged to contact us.
